About The Position

Are you an experienced early learning professional who’s ready to take their career to the next level, honing leadership skills and helping to build a successful business? As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Glendale you will use your experience and leadership qualities to engage and motivate your centre team to drive continuous improvement in all aspects across centre operation. You will work in collaboration with your centre leadership team and establish respectful and reciprocal relationships with families and engage in networks within the centre’s local community. In this role, you will: Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care. You will step into the Centre Director role 1 day a week. Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide About Goodstart Glendale Goodstart Glendale is an 82-place centre is located close to schools, shops and transport links and is Rated Meeting National Quality Standards. The team prides themselves on the strong, reciprocal relationships they have built via the key educator approach with children and families that attend the service, and the local community. The service onsite’s access to a child and family practitioner, occupational therapist and speech therapist work closely with educators to strengthen their professional knowledge and importantly, enhance children’s outcomes for school and life. Requirements

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Hold a current NSW Working with Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one
  • Experience with leading and managing change within education, health or community services
  • Experience in delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage
  • Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
