About The Position

The Assistant Director assists the Director and Deputy Director of the Office of Event Management & Scheduling with high-profile, Capitol Campus leadership-level Capitol Campus events, including large, multi-pronged events such as Orientation, Campus Reunion, professorship installation, annual Capitol Campus leadership’s lectures, Commencement and other similar events.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 5-7 years event planning experience, preferably within an academic or non-profit setting, and with increasingly more responsibility and larger and more complex events
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and work independently is required
  • Candidate will also possess strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgement, and have the ability to be discreet and prioritize competing demands
  • Strong computer skills are required, including Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Social Tables, EMS and other event-specific software is a plus.
