About The Position

Small Hands Big Dreams is a dynamic childcare center committed to providing a nurturing and safe environment for children to learn and grow. Our team works collaboratively to offer high-quality education and care that supports each child’s development. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Childcare Director to join our team Monday through Friday from 9:00a.m.-6:00p.m. The Assistant Childcare Director supports the Director in the overall operation and administration of the childcare center. This position includes responsibilities related to staff supervision, child development programs, regulatory compliance, and ensuring a safe and enriching environment for children.

Requirements

Must have high school diploma
Must hold a CPL-3
Experience managing other adults
Written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility

Responsibilities

Record keeping and organization of files
Reviewing and completing forms
Answering phones
Giving tours to potential families and staff
Using various software systems
Acting as a designee for staff when Center Director is out
Managing others
Understand and monitor the curriculum philosophy
Communicating with parents, staff and children
Creating and adjusting daily staff schedules
Helping to support classrooms and teachers when necessary
Order supplies while maintaining budget
Maintaining systems; such as Fivestar, Googledocs, Kinderconnect, Procare/ Procare Desktop, PBJ, Paycom
