About The Position

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks. In this role, you will: Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide About Goodstart Epping High Street: Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Epping - High Street is located within walking distance of local buses, Epping Train Station and the Plaza. The childcare centre was purpose built in May 1997 and our children's rooms are brightly decorated, with large outdoor areas. Requirements

  • Diploma Or Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
  • Only Current VIC Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification
  • Holds a current Police Check or is willing to obtain one upon request
  • Substantial experience as a Senior Educator or in a similar role
  • Great communication Skills with team and families
  • Has great experience with Programming Curriculum and is able to support the team with environments and programming
  • Has great knowledge of the EYLF and VEYLDF and NQS
  • Strong personality and can handle pressure

Responsibilities

  • Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
  • Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
  • Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence
  • Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide
