Amherst College invites applications for the Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Leadership position. The Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Leadership is a full-time, year-round position. The expected range for this position is $65,000-70,000 per year. The salary offered will vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to relevant education, training, and experience, tenure status, and other nondiscriminatory business considerations. The Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Leadership plays a key role in cultivating a vibrant, inclusive, and engaged campus community. This position provides strategic oversight for student clubs and organizations, leadership development programs, and campus-wide engagement initiatives. The Assistant Director supports student success and belonging by empowering students to develop as leaders, community members, and change agents The Assistant Director serves as the advisor for the Campus Activities Board (CAB), the College’s student-run programming board and will oversee the execution of hallmark CAB events and manage the programming board’s budget. The Assistant Director must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to attend events sponsored by Student Engagement and Leadership and Amherst College student groups. This role is an in-person position and requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Campus Activities Board hosts programs mostly at 8 p.m. and every other Saturday and Sunday.
