Assistant Director of Nursing

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who shares our mission and is committed to supporting both our residents and our staff. Position Summary The ADON works closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and promote excellence in resident care. This role is ideal for a nurse leader who values collaboration, accountability, and leading by example.
Requirements
- Active RN or LPN license in good standing (Preference given to RN candidates)
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and clinical standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Compassionate, respectful, and resident-focused approach to care
Nice To Haves
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Nursing in daily clinical and administrative operations
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Promote and uphold our mission, values, and culture of kindness and respect
- Assist with staff education, training, and competency development
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Monitor resident care to ensure safety, dignity, and quality outcomes
- Support survey readiness and follow-up
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and oversight as needed
