About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Behavioral Health department at a healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY. This leadership role plays a key part in advancing quality improvement initiatives, supporting nursing leadership, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care within a behavioral health setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, effective leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in behavioral health services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience , including at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role .
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Primary Source Verification through the New York State Department of Education (NYSED) .
• Current BLS certification .
• Demonstrated experience working in a Behavioral Health setting .

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement initiatives to improve patient care outcomes and nursing staff performance.
• Monitor, analyze, and evaluate patient care performance metrics in collaboration with Nurse Managers.
• Conduct unit assessments and implement corrective actions to address identified gaps.
• Develop, maintain, and oversee documentation and tracking systems related to medication errors and staff counseling.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and ongoing guidance to nursing staff within the Behavioral Health department.
