About The Position

Will oversee the production of all CBU Athletics department marketing video and graphic projects. Oversee the operation and maintenance of video and photography equipment. Hire, train, and supervise video and graphic student-interns.

Requirements

  • Skill and knowledge in the operation of cinematic full frame video cameras and filming techniques.
  • Skill and knowledge in lighting as it pertains to video and filming.
  • Working knowledge of audio principles including but not limited to: EQ, Compression, Reverb, Recording, Mixing and Editing.
  • Skill in 3D video animation and editing using Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, or similar.
  • Skill in using Mac OSX, and Windows Platforms.
  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
  • A thorough knowledge of: Business English and arithmetic; general office methods, procedures and practices.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student body.
  • Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events.
  • Knowledge of standard budgeting and expenditure control procedures and documentation.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Ability to travel, work evenings, over holiday breaks and weekends.
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of the Director of Media Production to plan, script, produce video content for the CBU Athletics department including but not limited to: Athletics hype videos, highlights of sporting events, interviews with coaches and student-athletes, promotional videos for athletic events, social media promotion videos, and recruiting materials.
  • Produce in-game video content that will be used to create an engaging fan experience, as well as leverage sponsorships in the Events Center, as well as other venues with video displays.
  • Supervise the Graphic Designer, Assistant Marketing, and help to manage workload, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Manage the inventory, maintenance, and improvement of all Athletics owned video equipment.
  • Make recommendations on video equipment needed to keep videos at the highest quality.
  • Maintain, organize, and archive video using metadata and network based servers.
  • Hire, train, and coordinate student workers and interns in media production related tasks.
  • Lead weekly Media Production meetings designed to ensure deadlines for art and video requests are made.
  • Work with Athletics Marketing and Sports Communication to achieve goals for cbulancers.com and department and team social media accounts.
  • Adhere to all institutional, conference and NCAA by-laws and regulations.
  • Understand and agree to abide by the mission of CBU and the CBU Athletics Department.
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends. Some travel may be required
