ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FINANCE The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is looking for an Assistant Director of Finance who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our Assistant Director of Finance have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of month-end close process including, but not limited to, preparation of financial statements, accruals and journal entries, and bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management degree or equivalent training and three to five years of experience in a related position
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States

Responsibilities

  • Maintain harmonious and professional relationships with all departments and Home Office
  • Serve as a role model for others by demonstrating appropriate business conduct and ethical principles.
  • Supervise, train, and develop staff to thoroughly understand all of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Monitor, control, and record all sales, purchases, and expenses of the hotel.
  • Oversee month-end close, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
  • Maintain strict adherence to established internal controls and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Assist the Director of Finance and Senior Assistant Director of Finance as needed.
