This role leads the team to accomplish Division’s goals, in maintaining adequate internal controls over all areas of hotel operations, in supervising and directing financial activities of the hotel, safeguard assets, and preparing all financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups to managers, clients, customers, and ownership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SUN Systems, HMS, InfoGenesis and other applicable systems
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years related previous experience, plus one to two years supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Review financial reports in accordance with reporting calendars and ensure that all reports are submitted on a timely manner
  • Provide guidance and supervision to all accounting team members. Recommend training necessary or provide training for specific tasks to accounting team members. Implement and/or adapt Standard Operating Procedures, and train and enforce SOPs in all operating departments
  • Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts with detailed support on a monthly basis; clear reconciling items on a monthly basis
  • Handle the administration of all bank accounts, ensures bank resolutions are updated, and prepare treasury reports
