The Assistant Director of Donor Relations is responsible for the coordination of stewardship and donor related activities that advance the engagement of volunteers for and donors to the Johns Hopkins Institutions. The Assistant Director will be responsible for independent, complex project management in coordination with fundraisers, senior leaders, and other Development Offices (DOFFs) to ensure ongoing implementation of existing stewardship and engagement activities and strategic enhancements and innovations. The Assistant Director of Donor Relations reports to the Director of Development (DoD) in Neurosurgery and is responsible for expediting the careful coordination, planning, implementation, and follow-up of the units’ top priorities and will provide strategic support to the DoD and other front-line fundraisers. In addition to the duties described above, the Assistant Director of Donor Relations will: Help execute development priorities of the unit consistent with the goals set forth by the Department of Neurosurgery including: Assist in operations within the Department of Neurosurgery to ensure goals are accomplished by consistently driving relevant agendas and priorities forward, work collaboratively and successfully with academic administration, members of the neurosurgery leadership team, and a board range of colleagues. Help with operational tasks as needed: assist in the preparation and coordination of complex proposals and gift activity for high-level prospects; provide reporting, including data analysis and the preparation of donor reports; partner with central colleagues to track incoming gifts and commitments; prepare meeting minutes and special reports involving fundraising initiatives and objectives; track and report on prospect, volunteer, and fundraiser activity. Track pipeline management and strategy for high-level prospects and making suggestions to the front-line fundraisers. Help manage and plan meetings for the Neurosurgery Advisory Board. Maintain and refine a standards set of metrics to measure the overall health and performance of the neurosurgery advisory board and their impact on the institution/department.
