About The Position

The Assistant Director of Clinical Services oversees the psychotherapy team, including licensed providers and supervisors, to promote excellence in clinical care and supervision, while adhering to board and healthcare compliance standards. Requirements

  • Master's degree in mental health counseling, clinical psychology, or a related field from an accredited program required.
  • State licensure as a Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • Board Approval to provide Clinical Supervision under the Minnesota Board of Social Work, Behavioral Health & Therapy, and/or Marriage & Family Therapy is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in combination of clinical supervision and/or mental health management
  • 5+ years as a licensed provider
  • Strong knowledge of licensing board(s) requirements, DHS guidelines and HIPAA compliance.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare management software.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Clinical Director and leadership team to enhance interagency communication, processes, and quality of services
  • Supports continued management and success of supervision program for pre-licensed clinicians
  • Manages Intern Training Program, including evaluating and responding to the needs of intern supervisors, interns, and academic partners.
  • The Assistant Director will be welcome and encouraged to take their own clinical supervisee, so they are using the same systems as the supervisors they manage.
  • Collaborates with Executive Assistant to track incomplete documentation and follow up with providers as needed.
  • Completes regular clinical audits and provides feedback to providers to enhance adherence to clinical documentation standards
  • Tracks and manages performance/compliance issues (e.g., documentation timeliness)
  • Collaborates with HR Director and Clinical Director with termination and offboarding processes for providers
  • Provides consultation for complex or high risk clinical issues that cannot be resolved within individual or group supervision and/or require escalation.
  • Responds to client complaints that could not be directly resolved with provider and collaborates with clinical director when escalation is required
  • Ensures compliance with clinical documentation and LynLake policies and procedures
  • Holds initial onboarding meeting with incoming W2 psychotherapists to review role, expectations and resources
  • Completes 30, 60, and 90-day check ins during the W2 onboarding process.
  • Supports W-2 providers in problem solving and finding ways to increase billed hours
  • Oversees performance improvement planning with W-2 psychotherapists as needed and in consultation with Clinical Director
  • Holds initial onboarding meeting with incoming 1099 psychotherapists to review role, expectations and resources
  • Holds initial meeting with 1099 psychotherapists who are not in compliance with their contract due to performance issues and collaborates with Clinical Director to determine when compliance issues need to be escalated
  • Completes initial supervisor and supervisee matching and responds to transfer requests
  • Organizes and communicates group supervision opportunities to pre-licensed practitioners
  • Implements onboarding training for new supervisors
  • Completes quarterly check-ins with all supervisors
  • Collaborates with supervisors to address pre-licensed therapist performance issues
  • Facilitates monthly Supervision of Supervision consultation group
  • Assists in maintaining the clinical supervision compensation spreadsheet for pre-licensed and intern supervisors
  • Assists supervisors in maintaining Pre-licensed planner spreadsheet and planning for transitions
  • Ensures all supervisors continually adhere to the clinic’s supervision standards and policies as well as board and state ethics
  • Responds to inquiries from intern candidates, screens, and completes interviews
  • Works with interns’ academic programs to ensure program agreements and expectations are clear
  • Co-leads intern orientation day with Clinical Director
  • Provides supervision of supervision to intern supervisors through monthly meetings (biweekly at start of academic year)
  • Monitors intern clinical hours spreadsheet and consults with supervisors and team to optimize flow of referrals
  • Assists supervisors, interns, and/or academic partners with performance concerns
  • Partners with supervisors and HR to support hiring of interns who meet criteria for pre-licensed candidacy
  • Evaluates programmatic needs and works with Clinical Director to adjust program as needed
  • Provide therapy services to a caseload of clients, maintaining a clinical practice of at least 6 clients per week in addition to your administrative role.
  • Provide professional clinical services, including individual, couples, and/or family therapy including: completing diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, designing and applying tailored interventions, evaluating client progress, and providing referrals and care coordination based on client needs.
  • Follow company policies, professional conduct standards, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Timely completion of documentation and associated tasks to support billing and administration.
  • Exceptional clinical and boundary-setting skills along with expertise in therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities.
  • Ability to work productively and effectively, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
