About The Position

Gonzaga College High School is seeking an experienced, full-time high school Assistant Director of Campus Ministry beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Roman Catholic, possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in theology or related field, have 2 to 4 years of experience in direct ministry, be familiar with Jesuit education and Ignatian spirituality, and be able to support the school mission of building young men who are religious, loving, academically competent, open to growth, and committed to doing justice. This is a 10-month position with additional responsibilities during and after the school day and in the summer. Responsibilities include retreats, service and justice programs, sacramental life and promoting the overall faith life of the school. The salary for this position ranges from $56,000 to $72,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the facilitation of underclassmen volunteer efforts: including the McKenna Center, Unique Residential, Gonzaga Kitchen Project, Conway Residence, among others.
  • Assists with organizing one-time service projects such as the Ignatian Family Teach-in, Catholic Charities, Annual Youth Service Day, the Adopt a Family Program, Arrupe Leaders Summit and any Ignatian Solidarity Network Programs.
  • Assists with coordinating the summer and spring Immersion Programs, annual schoolwide Days of Service, and each class year service requirement.
  • Communicate with parents and faculty about the service programs.
  • Assist in collaboration with Associate Director and Director of Campus Ministry.
  • Promote retreat attendance.
  • Assist in the preparations for retreats and assist/lead retreats and programming as needed.
  • Follow up with retreatants and leaders after each retreat.
  • Communicate with parents and faculty about the retreat programs.
  • Assist with evaluating and developing retreat and spiritual programs.
  • Model and encourage full, active, and conscious sacramental participation.
  • Assist with school wide and special liturgy planning and implementation.
  • Provide cura personalis (pastoral care for the whole individual student or community member) with a regard for appropriate boundaries.
  • Contribute ideas to the Campus Ministry team and offer invitations to students and community members to share the Joy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Perform administrative work with strong attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong computer skills.
  • Collaborate as a team player to Campus Ministry programs and other school programming in support of Gonzaga's mission.
