About The Position

Charles Evans Center (CEC) is seeking a licensed behavioral health professional to serve as Assistant Director for Admissions & Community Engagement at our Seaford location. This leadership role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about expanding access to mental health and substance use treatment services while helping grow a developing program. You will oversee admissions operations, build referral partnerships, and ensure a seamless intake experience for children, adolescents, and families.

Requirements

  • LMSW or LMHC (LCSW preferred)
  • Experience in mental health and/or substance use treatment
  • Experience working with children and adolescents
  • Experience conducting intake, assessment, and triage in a behavioral health setting
  • Knowledge of DSM and ICD-10 diagnostic criteria
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with co-occurring disorders and severe mental illness
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience
  • Insurance verification experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Community Outreach & Referral Development
  • Develop relationships with hospitals, detox and rehabilitation facilities, courts, schools, and community providers
  • Conduct outreach presentations to promote CEC’s mental health and substance use services
  • Track referral sources and identify opportunities for growth
  • Admissions & Clinical Oversight
  • Respond to program inquiries and referrals in a timely manner
  • Conduct and oversee intake assessments and clinical evaluations
  • Lead Admissions Committee meetings
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to assign new clients
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with billing and reimbursement standards
  • Leadership & Operations
  • Analyze referral and intake data trends
  • Assist the Operations Director in strengthening admissions workflows
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide crisis intervention when needed
