The Office of Access & Opportunity is part of the Division of Institutional Integrity and provides leadership to the University’s efforts to foster a welcoming and accessible environment. The office promotes access in educational opportunity, programming, and employment and promotes an environment of respect while honoring civil rights for all members of the University community. The Office of Access and Opportunity: Disability Resources ( ODR ) is the designated office to assist eligible students and visitors with disabilities by determining access needs, determining and coordinating reasonable academic adjustments or workplace accommodations, and ensuring equal opportunity for participation within the University’s programs, services and activities in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act in addition to other federal, state, and local civil rights laws related to disability. The Assistant Director of Disability Resources is part of the DR leadership team and is a highly visible member of the university community who interacts across divisional lines and collaborates with many segments of the university.
