This mission-critical, fully on-campus Assistant Director position reports to the Director and is responsible for the comprehensive oversight, quality assurance, and strategic management of all daily clinical and administrative operations within Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). The role focuses on driving departmental efficiency, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards (HIPAA, FERPA, licensing boards), and supporting student retention by optimizing service accessibility. Key responsibilities include direct oversight of clinical services, crisis intervention protocols, and high-risk case management, serving as the primary consultation point for campus partners during emergencies. The Assistant Director provides clinical and operational supervision for all CAPS staff and oversees the Practicum Training Program. They are tasked with leading strategic planning alongside the Director, managing the departmental budget, and representing CAPS on relevant college committees to enhance integrated care. Furthermore, the incumbent maintains a direct clinical caseload, develops preventative outreach and psychoeducational programming, and acts as a change-oriented leader championing innovation and psychological resilience across the campus community. Note: This role requires consistent physical presence on campuses for direct oversight, crisis response, and essential in-person relationship building; remote or hybrid work is not available.
