About The Position

Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Central Texas town of Temple, Texas. Canyon Creek features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs. Position Summary To coordinate, facilitate, and monitor the quality of Clinical Services to meet the goals of Canyon Creek Behavioral Health. In addition, provide direct care to psychiatric and substance abuse conditions. Responsible for collaborating with the patient’s family, multidisciplinary team and community agencies to support and coordinate treatment and discharge planning. Oversees the social work and counselor student experience. Functions as a lead for clinical services staff across all four CCBH units (Adult, PICU, Adolescent, and Gero). Requirements

  • Masters’ Degree in Counseling or Social Work
  • Four years of clinical experience as a licensed professional in an inpatient psychiatric social service setting.
  • Current license as an LPC, LMSW or LCSW in Texas.
  • CPR and hospital-endorsed behavior management system (BMS) certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of clinical experience as a licensed professional in an inpatient psychiatric social service setting, to include one year of supervisory experience.
  • Current license as an LCSW in Texas.
