The Assistant Director serves on the Career Services team within the Office of Specialized Masters and supports the career and professional development initiatives for the Master of Science in Management (MSM) program, servicing students in multiple delivery formats (campus and online). The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Career Services. Our unit aims to achieve extremely high employment rates, student, and employer satisfaction. There are four major functional areas for Assistant Director duties: 1. Student coaching and development Manages student training and development programs, providing individualized career coaching that includes career exploration, job search strategies, resume and cover letter support, and mock interview preparation. Advises students in one-on-one settings, tailoring guidance to their unique career goals. Builds and delivers content for group sessions, creates a comprehensive career curriculum for both in-person and online training modules, tracks student progress and success, and reports on outcomes. Provides foundational career and professional development support to ensure students are well-prepared for the job market. 2. Major Programming: Develops and oversees a comprehensive recruiting program. Ensures that the program aligns with strategic hiring goals and provides a streamlined experience for both candidates and employers. 3. Employer management: Collaboratively serves as the primary point-of-contact for formal recruiting programs with employment partner firms and organizations for MSM. Works closely with stakeholders to lead employer relations, event strategy, planning, and execution. Partners with the sub-unit to establish and refine employment policies and procedures, ensuring both employer and student success. 4. Systems, Processes, and Data Collection: Contributes to the implementation and transition of CRM systems, analyzes employment data to support strategic decision-making, and collaborates on integrating these systems with overall recruiting strategies to enhance program effectiveness.
