What You’ll Do: Design Development Understand the Michael Kors aesthetic and translate it into seasonal products Seasonal research including trend and market research Creatively develop design mockups in‑house Understanding of garment construction Understanding of woven fabrics Involved in proto and production fitting and able to communicate design comments to cross‑functional teams and overseas offices Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for flat sketching, CADs, technical drawings, and seasonal build outs Experience using Figma to organize sketches, seasonal inspiration, and digital mood boards Proficient in PLM systems (preferably Centric) for creating and maintaining tech packs from proto through bulk Strong digital organization skills, including managing clean file structures, libraries, templates, and shared seasonal assets Comfortable navigating shared drives and digital asset libraries for cross‑functional collaboration Ability to quickly learn new software and tools used across the design and development workflow Administrative Duties Daily communication with vendors globally Daily communication with cross‑functional teams internally and management of updates and requests Assist in day‑to‑day projects including emails, meeting preparations, and updating tech packs

Requirements

  • 1+ years of related experience with excellent technical knowledge
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and Microsoft Office suite
  • Prior experience with PLM, preferably Centric
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in office 3–5 days a week (meeting dependent)
