Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah (Required)
  • Master's degree in Nursing (Required)
  • CHSE certification (or ability to obtain within 24 months)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • A passion for experiential learning, technology integration, and student success

Nice To Haves

  • doctoral degree preferred
  • 5+ years of simulation instruction/management experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Associate Dean to advance a unified vision for simulation and learning technologies.
  • Integrate emerging technologies, immersive tools, and simulation methodologies into academic programs.
  • Pilot new initiatives that elevate student learning and strengthen program outcomes.
  • Oversee daily operations of our simulation centers and skills labs, ensuring consistent, high-quality learner experiences.
  • Coordinate scenario development, equipment procurement, space utilization, and technology implementation.
  • Maintain alignment with Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice (HSSOBP) and accreditation requirements.
  • Mentor experiential educators, directors, and staff, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Design and deliver training programs that elevate instructional quality and faculty readiness.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to champion experiential learning.
  • Monitor program effectiveness, analyzing data to guide enhancements in quality, technology, and learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to scholarship through presentations, research, and professional association engagement.
  • Support SSH accreditation processes and ensure readiness for ongoing review.
