Albany Law School invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean for the Career and Professional Development Center. As a member of the senior leadership team who reports to the President and Dean, the Assistant Dean will have the opportunity to build on tremendous growth and success at Albany Law School, including a job placement rate of 90% or higher for the last four years and a bar passage rate for first-time July 2025 bar takers of 87%. The successful candidate will join a law school that is committed to the growth and success of its students and a team of professionals who take a personalized approach to developing, counseling, and guiding our students in their professional development. The Assistant Dean of the Career and Professional Development Center plays a central role in the law school's mission to prepare and empower our students to become lawyers and leaders. Albany Law School is looking for an innovative leader who will advise the President and Dean and Board of Trustees and provide strategic direction and leadership for the Career and Professional Development Center. The Assistant Dean will be instrumental in assessing employment trends, cultivating our strong relationships with employers across traditional and emerging legal and non-legal sectors, and developing and implementing forward-thinking and strategic initiatives related to student professional development programs and student counseling and career placement. The Assistant Dean will also work closely and partner with one of the strongest alumni networks in the country who hire a large number of our students each year.
