About The Position

Our front end is the last place our customers visit, their final point of contact during their shopping trip. It's where we have an opportunity to leave a lasting impression by providing friendly and courteous service as they complete their orders.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions
  • Excellent communication skills and organization/prioritization skills
  • Basic computer skills and/or the ability to learn how to operate a cash register, scanner, telephone system, and scale, and the ability to handle money and other forms of payment are also important.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and attentive customer service as you oversee the day to day operations of the front end and supervise front end associates/cashiers
  • Cultivate and maintain excellent customer relations and service levels, and ensure a friendly, professional, and well-organized image for the front end, vestibule, and parking lot
  • Assist Customer Service Manager with selection, training, development, and scheduling of cashiers/front end associates
  • Ensure proper product handling and that all legal/regulatory aspects of the front end are followed (i.e. alcohol/tobacco sales, WIC, food stamps)
