About The Position

Employee will function as a custodial assistant supervisor, will coordinate and direct all aspects of the custodial department. The employee will supervise and manage all resources under his/her jurisdiction, organize and implement training for clean facilities at all Spartanburg Community College campuses. . Maintains an efficient custodial operation for SCC campus facilities. Assists in the planning, prioritizing, and coordinating of all duties and activities related to custodial services at SCC. Plans and conducts comprehensive and organized inspections of all facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards. Supervises custodial staff. Responsible for recruiting staff, managing performance through periodic evaluations of all full-time and part-time employees, and providing proper safety and job performance training for custodial employees. Inventories materials, supplies, and equipment for the department and maintains an adequate inventory. Coordinates maintenance, storage, and repair of all custodial equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Custodial or groundskeeping experience directly related to the area of employment
  • Must work night shift and some weekends
  • Must be flexible and willing to respond to special needs of college, ie., special set-ups, clean-ups or weekend activities at all college campuses
  • Driver's license required
