About The Position

To supervise Courtesy Patrol employees in the absence of the Director and facilitate the flow of information with the executive staff.

  • Strong background in preparing and reviewing incident response documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Managerial experience required.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing is required.
  • Ability to use discretion with owners and guests as it pertains to rule enforcement.
  • Ability to organize and write reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and the public.
  • Ability to work within a set framework as it pertains to Courtesy Patrol.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions when furnished in written, oral, or scheduled form.
  • CPR Certification
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and a high degree of autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of persons assigned to the department. To include coming into work to supervise those they do not directly see, on an as-needed basis.
  • Respond to managerial calls for service from guests and owners.
  • Training of new employees
  • Recommend promotions, corrective counselings, and terminations to the Director, Director of the HOA, and General Manager.
  • Dissemination of information from the Director to the people assigned to the Department.
  • In the absence of the Director, monitor the department payroll budget and send people home if occupancy or weather dictates.
  • Order departmental supplies from the HOA Office Assistant.
  • Responsibilities of Team Member/ Shift Supervisor as needed.
  • Keep the Courtesy Patrol Director informed of all emergencies or exigent circumstances.
  • Initial Interview of Applicants
  • Complete schedules and generate them for posting in the gatehouse for the employees.
  • Complete assignments given by the Courtesy Patrol Director, the Director of the HOA, or the General Manager.
  • Participate in Hurricane Action Plan preparation and post-storm duties.
  • Review all reports completed by the gatehouse and send them to the distribution list when the Courtesy Patrol Director is not available.
  • Turn in a review to the CP Director on employees in the department for review periods.
  • Coordinate with local Law Enforcement for Off off-duty deputies to augment the Courtesy Patrol staff during certain holidays or emergencies.
  • Keeping all daily logs up to date. Keep the RFID/Barcode book up to date.
  • Update the Owner, LTT, and Employee parking sticker books as needed.
  • To provide a safe working environment for all employees.
  • To be responsible to company managers and owners for the enforcement of HOA Rules and Regulations, and to provide access control.
  • Operation of the property-wide camera system and the gate arm system.
  • Check the Bulletin Board on days that they work to check for continuity and the timeliness of items to be replaced or the removal of expired items.
  • To supervise the Courtesy Patrol employees to ensure continued adherence to company policies and the Mission, Vision, and Values.
