Shall serve as an assistant and follow direction from the Head Cook and Food Service Supervisor ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Prepare food that is healthy, nutritious and tasty Use appropriate portion sizes for each meal component Perform and carry through until finished any food/meal preparation duties, serving and cleaning duties Follow sanitation standards set by the Health Department Operate Point of Sales System as needed Attend any meetings or in-services when required by Supervisor. Take over the responsibilities of Head Cook during Head Cook's absence (according to seniority) Be neat and clean in appearance Work in a cooperative and professional manner, creating a good working environment for students, staff, co-workers and public Perform any other tasks designated by the Head Cook, building Principal or Food Service Supervisor
