About The Position

Are you passionate about supporting a childcare team and helping create a happy, healthy environment for young children? The Learning Experience is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Cook / Support Staff member to join our team! In this dual-role position, you'll primarily assist our Preschool Cook with daily kitchen operations, and you'll also help support classrooms when teachers are out-making you a valued part of our center's success. As an Assistant Cook / Support Staff, you will: In the Kitchen: Assist with planning, preparing, and serving healthy meals and snacks for preschool children. Help maintain allergy lists and ensure each classroom receives accurate allergy information with every food delivery. Support food safety, sanitation, and proper storage procedures. Assist with inventory, organization, and putting away weekly food orders. In the Classrooms: Step into classrooms as needed to support teachers during staff absences. Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff. What We're Looking For: A team player who is flexible, reliable, and excited to help wherever needed. A High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ year of experience in food prep, cooking, childcare, or a related support role (preferred but not required). Ability to obtain a food handling certificate within 90 days of hire. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and be on your feet for portions of the day. Requirements
