About The Position

The Assistant Controller will assist in preparation of Financial Reports. The Assistant Controller will assist in testing, maintaining, and monitoring internal controls and policies to comply with Company guidelines. Prepare and manage journal entries. Reconcile and analyze accounts for the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing. Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances. Be involved in system automatizations across functions and participate in new system or procedure implementations as it relates to recording and reporting financial data.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, be well organized, prioritize and capable of handling a busy workload with multiple tasks, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Competent skills in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel, are required. Experience with SAP is preferable.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • 2 to 3 years of related work experience
  • Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly journal entries including accrual and provision adjustments.
  • Participate in the completion of month end close checklists for all assigned action items to ensure meeting all corporate deadlines.
  • Analysis of key GL accounts.
  • Preparation of GL Account Reconciliations.
  • Work with Financial Controller to evaluate and monitor that the internal controls and policies are implemented and followed.
  • Assist with Internal and External audit inquiries.
  • Improving processes, assisting with system and reporting development as needed.
  • Work in close cooperation with other managers/ departments of the company.
  • Become proficient with SAP and OneStream.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
