As a critical member of the plant finance team, the Assistant Controller will support the Controller in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare reports and statements related to plant financial matters and ensure the quality and timeliness of entry to Corporate Accounting and Plant Operating Departments. Salary offer for this position is $90K-$110K a year based on experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience (experience in a manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), including a high degree of Excel proficiency.
  • ERP system experience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Excellent project and time management, organizational, and follow-up skills with strong problem-solving capabilities, analytical skills, and an ability to multitask.
  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment with frequent interruptions, changing priorities, and maintaining priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Discretion around sensitive company and employee information
  • Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Odyssey is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecast.
  • Prepare and issue monthly reports and statements related to plant financial (performance) and ensure the quality and timeliness of entry to corporate accounting and plant operating departments.
  • Assist in providing accurate month and year-end closing activities, including Journal Entries and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Maintain fixed assets and tooling ledgers.
  • Prepare for and participate in all internal and external accounting-related audits.
  • Participate in quarterly physical inventories as assigned.
  • Assist in managing accounts receivable.
  • Able to provide backup to accounts receivable specialist for customer invoicing and cash application. In addition, provide backup to accounts payable specialists for vendor invoices and payments.
  • Utilize the delay time constructively by doing housekeeping or other area improvement activities.
  • Personal attendance records should remain in compliance with company guidelines.
