JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Job Summary: Performs overall analytical review Assists with coordination of staff accountants’ work and the overall monthly financial statement package Prepares journal entries Reconciles general ledger accounts Assists with the budgetary process Participates in the preparation and analysis of Hospital financial statements and reports Provides information and assistance to the internal and external auditors Assists to educate Hospital leadership with regards to financial information Assists with other ad hoc projects as required Responsibilities may also include: Coordination of accounts payable processes Compilation and review of organization’s statistical information Ownership of cost accounting, including system management and the development of all related reports and analyses Preparation of reporting and analyses relating to service line profitability and physician statistical and compensation information

Requirements

Baccalaureate degree with Accounting major required
Knowledge of accounting systems and Excel required
Must have organizational skills and ability to multi-task

Nice To Haves

MBA or MHA preferred
Minimum 2 years Hospital experience preferred
CPA preferred

Responsibilities
