Responsibilities SUMMARY Under direction of the controller, ensures that all required financial statements and reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner according to corporate policies, generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable regulations and laws. Supports the controller in delivering on monthly performance targets, maintaining a structured compliance environment, and successful execution of business initiatives. Own the monthly general ledger closing and reconciliation process Support development of annual operating plans, forecasts, and conduct variance analysis for the location Lead the completion of monthly financial control procedures to ensure the location meets Howmet audit/ASAT/SOX requirements Provide accurate and timely reporting/forecasting/planning for the location Identify opportunities for cost reduction and sharing of best practices Provide support on an as needed basis for financial and control audits for both internal and external auditors Support development of tools/reports to facilitate financial, commercial, and operational improvements Lead development of tools/reports to facilitate operations to meet the financial plan Ensure strict adherence to code of conduct and corporate policy Create an environment where systems are used to accurately plan, forecast, and deliver according to expectations Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Formal training and in-depth experience in cost accounting, financial accounting, local, state, and federal tax regulations, and financial analysis & reporting. Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
