The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting multiple client engagements including Due Diligence Evaluations, Facility Condition Assessments, Project Feasibility and Planning Initiatives, and Capital Project Management. Project types may include interior construction/ renovations and ground-up construction, for both inpatient/acute-care and outpatient/ambulatory facilities. The Assistant Project manager exercises discretion and independent business judgment within his or her assigned scope of responsibility on given projects. The Assistant Project Manager reports directly to the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager, both of whom have similar responsibilities but with respect to more complex projects. Specific responsibilities include: Have basic knowledge of building systems. Be able to read and interpret building plans. Create and manage timelines to ensure timely project completion. Represent RTG in handling complaints and arbitrating disputes within assigned scope of responsibility. Conduct Facility Condition Assessments to determine facility condition and make budgetary recommendations. Reorganize project priorities as needed. Assist with making recommendations regarding team procurement. Review and process invoices and reconcile expenses. Prepare and issue project documentation. Set up and maintain project files. Support project management effort as required. Manage field issues. Facilitate work in the field. Monitor the project schedule. Monitor the project budget.
