Kirkham Michael is a growing company in need of an energetic and knowledgeable individual to fill our entry level full-time Assistant Construction Observer position.  This position will be located in our Edmond, Oklahoma office. Primary Function: Performs inspection services along haul routes for energy projects, including acting as a liaison between County and Developer. Maintains daily job log and is familiar with plans and specifications. Has some exposure to clients. No initial responsibility for the direction of others.  Performs several basic engineering and mathematical procedures, which require following instructions and guidelines, and providing accurate and complete records of that work.  Assist experienced staff performing inspection and testing on energy and transportation related construction projects. Receives supervision from senior-level Engineering staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Monday to Friday overnight travel is required for this position.
  • Lifting of 50+ lbs, walking and standing for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • CIT certifications and/or construction inspection experience
