About The Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Construction Manager to support our Construction Managers in overseeing the building of assigned homes or communities. In this role, you will assist with coordinating subcontracted labor, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • Experience: Some experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of construction processes and a willingness to learn.
  • Communication Skills: Good interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to assist in managing schedules and resources efficiently.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of performing hands-on tasks when necessary, including lifting materials and using tools.
  • Work Ethic: Eager to learn with a willingness to work flexible hours as projects demand.

Responsibilities

  • Support Supervision: Assist in supervising and coordinating subcontracted construction labor to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Project Assistance: Help schedule subcontractors and material deliveries to meet project timelines.
  • Quality Control: Aid in conducting lot inspections and pre-construction reviews to uphold quality standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers under the guidance of the Construction Manager, addressing concerns professionally.
  • Safety Compliance: Assist in enforcing safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Team Participation: Attend weekly production meetings and participate in ongoing training sessions.
