About The Position

Gold’s Aquatic Club is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual in competitive swimming to join our team to assist with our younger age groups. As an age group coach, you will be responsible for helping develop swimmers’ skills in all four strokes. Skills for the swimmers will range beginning proficiency in all four strokes to preparing for championship meets. You will provide guidance, instruction, and support to athletes while fostering a positive and inclusive team environment. As a head instructor, you will assist with training and overseeing instructors. If needed, will assist with lessons if staffing or help is warranted.

Requirements

Swimming Experience: Background of year round swimming with proven ability to instruct drills and techniques.
Bold Leadership: Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
Punctuality: Must come prepared and ready for all shifts on time.
Collaboration: Excellent communication, oral and written, and interpersonal skills.
Availability: Ability to work from 4:30PM-7:30PM on weekdays and 7:00AM-12:00PM on Saturdays (Part Time)
Certification: Current Certification in lifeguarding, CPR, AED, and FIRST AID, and USA Swimming (or willingness to obtain upon hiring)

Nice To Haves

Coaching Experience: 1-2 years of previous coaching experience in competitive swimming with a proven track record of success in developing swimmers at various levels.

Responsibilities

Help conduct regular practice sessions and provide on-deck coaching.
Work closely with the head coach and other coaches for consistent coaching and program implementation. Be willing to help with lessons if needed
Guide and support swimmers in setting and achieving ambitious goals, implementing effective training plans for swimmers’ improvement
Evaluate swimmers’ progress and provide individualized feedback
Communicate regularly with swimmers, parents, and club management.
Stay updated with the latest coaching techniques and trends.
Adhere to club policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
