About The Position

This is a residential position. The coach is required to live in college‑provided on‑campus housing, and the role includes a paid meal plan. Through varsity athletics, intramurals, club sports, and recreational activities, Beloit College's Department of Athletics & Recreation offers a wide range of athletic opportunities to the College's approximately 1,200 students, about 25% of whom are varsity student‑athletes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn and adhere to, NCAA Division III and MWC rules and regulations.
  • Ability to effectively recruit qualified student‑athletes within established guidelines.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with football staff, student‑athletes, campus partners, and community members.
  • Strong program planning and implementation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize work efficiently, and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of functions and work evenings and weekends.
  • Some travel required.
  • Other coaching, teaching, or administrative duties as assigned.
  • Adherence to all MWC and NCAA rules is required.
  • This position requires on‑campus residency in college‑provided housing; a paid meal plan is included.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the organization, administration, and implementation of the football program as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Athletic Director.
  • Organize, prepare, and conduct individual and team practices, training sessions, and competitions; communicate schedules to appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Direct specific aspects of the football program-such as offense, defense, or position groups-and establish standards for conduct, attendance, and practice procedures.
  • Recruit student‑athletes in accordance with NCAA and Midwest Conference (MWC) rules and regulations through scouting, events, and outreach.
  • Represent the football program to prospective students and families, campus partners, the general public, and external organizations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
