About The Position

ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH Bridgewater College, a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III, is seeking applications for a Defensive Assistant Football Coach. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Head Football Coach. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting the head coach in all facets of a Division III football program Recruiting prospective student-athletes who fit the mission and culture of the program and the College Organizing & conducting on-field coaching during practices and games Developing detailed scouting reports, statistics, and video analysis breakdowns Manage and provide feedback and evaluation to Defensive players and coaches. Assist with program marketing and branding on a multitude of platforms, including social media Providing mentoring and support for the student-athletes, particularly in regards to academics and player development Complying with all NCAA, conference and college policies and regulations. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required Candidates should have strong Defensive background in High School or College level with proven football coaching experience. Prefer positional background to be coaching Linebackers. Must be able to teach defensive football technique and understand football strategy at a high level. Demonstrated leadership skills and effective communication and organizational skills. Basic competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio) applications is required. Competency with HUDL or other editing software. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the college’s auto insurance carrier Pay is competitive, and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package, including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.
