About The Position

The J is hiring enthusiastic and knowledgeable Assistant Baseball Coaches for our advanced teams. Our assistant coaches will provide instruction and impart their knowledge of the game to young players ages 8-12. The J's Baseball instructional program emphasizes skill development, self-discipline, and safety and teaches the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player is required. We are hiring reliable part-time staff to assist with practice/training sessions on weeknights and to help coach games/tournaments on weekends, with a chance of weeknight games. Requirements

Experience working with children preferred
Experience as a coach/player is preferred
Knowledge of baseball and its rules
Able to work a flexible schedule
Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Lead and assist coach with baseball drills at practices and assistant coach in games for ages 8-12
Help set up and tear down equipment
Supervise children ages 8 to 12 years old
Provides positive communication and reinforces the coaches direction
