About The Position

Axiom Axiom Custom Products is a designer and custom manufacturer that services the creative, events, retail, and construction industries. We offer our clients extensive in-house services and capabilities that allow us to take on projects at any stage of development from concept to installation. A team of 80, we leverage our digital manufacturing technologies, manufacturing expertise, and decades of trial and error to deliver the highest quality products - an outcome unmatched. In this dynamic work environment that ebbs and flows with the needs of our clients, our company, and the industry, adaptability to change, collaboration, and a proactive approach to problem solving will be keys to success. Assistant CNC Programmer If you’re the kind of person who likes turning ideas into real, perfectly made things, this might be your kind of role. We’re looking for an Assistant CNC Programmer who’s curious, detail-driven, and excited to get hands-on with CNC programming and machining. You’ll be working with technical drawings and CAD models, learning how to translate them into precise, high-quality parts that actually make it out into the world. This is a learning-forward role where experience grows fast. You’ll spend time on the shop floor working directly with machines and tools, helping optimize setups to meet the specific needs of each project. From loading materials and verifying programs to tooling machines and keeping an eye on performance, you’ll be involved in the full process. Quality matters here, and your attention to detail will play a big role in making sure every part meets our standards. You won’t be doing this alone. We’re a collaborative team, and you’ll work closely with multiple departments to keep projects moving smoothly. Along the way, you’ll help keep files organized, document run sheets to improve efficiency, assist with quality checks, and contribute ideas for improvements. Safety is a priority, so you’ll also be involved in equipment maintenance and keeping our CNC areas clean, organized, and production-ready. We’re open to a range of experience levels— you just have to already have some time with CAD, machining, or fabrication under your belt. A basic understanding of materials like plywoods, hardwoods, MDF, plastics, and metals is helpful, but curiosity and a willingness to learn matter just as much. We value people who ask questions, take initiative, and genuinely enjoy being part of a team. You should be comfortable working both independently and with guidance, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and open to forklift training and certification. Experience with tools like Powermill, 5-axis or 7-axis robotic systems, Amada press brakes, or Kern lasers is a nice bonus—but absolutely not a requirement. Now for the payoff. Our team enjoys excellent pay and standout benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees, with options to add dependents. We offer both 401k and ROTH investment options, and after your first year, you’ll earn 20 days of PTO—yes, really—plus paid holidays. It’s one of the strongest benefits packages you’ll find in our industry. Important note: the office is dog friendly. Curious about what we actually make? Check out our full capabilities at www.axiomcustom.com and see our work in action on Instagram at www.instagram.com/axiomcustom . If you’re looking to grow your skills in a fast-paced, hands-on, and genuinely collaborative manufacturing environment, we’d love to hear from you. Send us a brief introduction and your resume, and let’s talk. The wage range for this role is $18 to $23/hour.
