Position Summary (major areas of contribution): Under the direct supervision of the Director of Engineering, the CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating new programs and modifying existing programs for the production of all wood parts to be cut on CNC and beam saw machines.

  • Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in analyzing and processing information.
  • Able to work Saturdays as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+years of experience with CNC programming software required: Wood Wop, Cutrite and RouterCM Automation Suite preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD required.
  • Knowledge of wood materials required.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems required.
  • Ability to read a cutlist.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 3D Software such as Solidworks, Inventor, or Solid Edge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Program machines with WoodWop, CutRite, Router CIM Automation Suite, etc.
  • Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, and other date and then perform all the necessary calculations.
  • Write new programs and modify existing programs.
  • Ensure that the machines and programs operate correctly and that finished parts and products meet specifications.
  • Must utilize material yield properly.
