The Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) works closely with the Club Manager to provide leadership and direction within the club, driving overall club performance, particularly for the departments they directly manage. This role prepares individuals for one of three Assistant Club Manager positions: Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience, with focused development in their designated track. The AMIT ensures consistent execution of policies and procedures, a positive member service experience, Grand Opening Look Daily (GOLD) standard club conditions, and provides overall leadership. A key function is developing talent, displaying leadership, and consistently delivering results. The AMIT leads audit compliance, collaborates with Business Partners, and oversees onboarding, certification, and training for food safety and operational excellence. This role also serves as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed, taking full responsibility for club operations, team leadership, and Member engagement during assigned shifts. A valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification is required and must be maintained, and a forklift license may be required yearly. In Florida, a qualifier certification for retail propane oversight is necessary, with BJ’s covering associated costs and training.
