About The Position

The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator will join the Juvenile inJustice Behavioral Health (JJBH) research team led by Dr. Marina Tolou-Shams within the Department of Psychiatry at UCSF. The JJBH research program focuses on improving behavioral health and legal outcomes for publicly insured and/or systems-involved youth and young adults through epidemiological, behavioral intervention, and structural-level research approaches. This role is part of a national, multicultural, and multilingual research team dedicated to reducing health disparities and advancing behavioral health outcomes among vulnerable youth and adult populations.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent (GED), OR an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to successfully perform assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in standard software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and REDCap.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage deadlines, set priorities, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately follow oral and written instructions; strong attention to detail.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills, including experience with writing, editing, proofreading, and revising or updating protocols and documents.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills; proven ability to manage changing priorities with flexibility.
  • Demonstrated reliability, including excellent attendance and dependability.
  • Proficiency with standard PC-based software and word-processing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Enter, clean, and manage research databases
  • Assist with data reports (e.g., BASC and related measures)
  • Attend and participate in project meetings
  • Collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator and JJBH collaborators and partners to support assigned research projects
