About The Position

Albany County is seeking to hire an Assistant Clerk I. This is a full-time, benefited position. The Assistant Clerk I will perform routine and detailed clerical and customer service duties and responsibilities in support of the County Clerk’s Office; to provide information, process documents, maintain records, and respond to inquiries as well as administer the rules and regulations of the County Clerk’s Office and the statutes of the State of Wyoming. The position will remain open until filled.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate, GED or equivalent
  • Prefer one year of office/clerical experience
  • Excellent, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • This job requires a pre-employment drug test, pre-employment background check, and driver’s license check.

Responsibilities

  • Auto title functions and activities.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the transfer of legal ownership of personal property.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations for filing, perfecting, releasing, and terminating liens.
  • Knowledge of processes for microfilming, scanning, and transmitting documents.
  • Performing a variety of auto title functions and activities.
  • Maintaining vehicle identification databases and titling/ownership information.
  • Terminating liens and performing full and partial releases of collateral.
  • Conducting research and determining the value of personal property.
  • Liaising with various parties in relation to motor vehicle title activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
