About The Position
Ready to lead critical municipal projects and help shape Fort Wayne's infrastructure? City of Fort Wayne - City Engineering Position: Assistant City Engineer Pay: $98,880- $115,000 Schedule: 8am- 5pm, hours may vary Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- 8-10 years progressively responsible experience in engineering and engineering administration
- Indiana Professional Engineer's License. Non-Indiana PE's need to obtain Indiana licensure within 6 months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, review, and provide solutions for engineering projects
- Conduct engineering analysis, design, and construction for municipal projects
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and documentation using GIS and Auto-CADD
- Collaborate with city departments, contractors, and external agencies including INDOT
- Lead, mentor, and supervise staff to ensure high-quality project delivery
