The Assistant City Attorney II provides a full range of civil legal representation for the City of Olathe within the City Attorney's Office of the Legal Department. They provide answers to legal questions and advise city staff, elected officials and appointed members of boards and commissions. This role is also responsible for the preparation of legal documents and opinions and providing assistance with other civil legal matters within the jurisdiction of the City. This position is part of a two-level career progression of Assistant City Attorney I, II. The Assistant City Attorney II is expected to provide advanced advising, drafting, analysis, and litigation support on a variety of municipal law issues while demonstrating specific expertise and competence on certain areas of municipal law.
