The Assistant City Attorney I or II will primarily serve as a municipal court prosecutor and handle municipal court litigation and appeals. In this role, the attorney is responsible for prosecuting criminal violations of the City's Municipal Code in municipal court. The attorney is also responsible for representing the City in administrative proceedings, including those before the City's Administrative Hearing Officer, as well as before the local liquor licensing authority. The attorney may also provide legal advice regarding municipal matters to various City departments and may also act as counsel to City boards and commissions as necessary.
