Additionally, the hospital features specialized certifications such as the Heart Care Center, Primary Stroke Center and Geriatric Emergency Department. Job Overview: We have an exciting opportunity to join our leadership team at Hillcrest Hospital South as an Assistant Chief Operating Officer (ACOO). The ACOO is responsible for the leadership of hospital operations as directed by executive leadership. In addition, the ACOO oversees a variety of departments as agreed upon by the ACOO and operational leadership. The ACOO works closely with physicians, hospital leadership, and outside stakeholders to define opportunities for growth and development with his/her oversight. Responsible for developing and implementing a business plan with the strategic objectives identified for the hospital as determined by the executive team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Required
  • Master’s Degree, Required (MHA or MBA with healthcare concentration, preferred)
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute on all aspects of hospital operations, organizational integration, and site coordination.
  • Build upon and improve the operational infrastructure; serve as a catalyst to drive operational improvement throughout the hospital.
  • Monitor and analyze comprehensive operational metrics to measure and report ongoing performance.
  • Develop and motivate middle management team.
  • Develop goals and objectives to enable departments to provide quality services while achieving financial targets.
  • Actively consult with physicians to ascertain their needs, monitor their satisfaction, and provide them with feedback regarding operational improvements.
  • Promote an environment of collaboration among hospital departments to develop cross-organizational cooperation and improve operational success.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain an effective customer service and service recovery plan.
  • Hold team accountable to a high standard of professionalism.
  • Partner with quality program to reduce risk and promote quality care.
  • Continuously work to improve employee engagement levels throughout the organization.
  • Effectively mentor team to maximize abilities.
