  • Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
  • Valid Texas Superintendent or Mid-Management Administrator Certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years in school or district-level leadership, preferably within charter schools.
  • Proven experience in instructional leadership, compliance, organizational management, enrollment growth strategies, and curriculum development.
  • Deep understanding of TEA accountability systems, charter school law, and federal/state education regulations.
  • Expertise in curriculum design, instructional best practices, and assessment systems.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Instructional Leadership: Guide curriculum development, instructional practices, and assessment systems to improve student achievement.
  • Equity and Inclusion: Commitment to creating equitable learning environments and addressing achievement gaps for diverse student populations.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Skilled in analyzing academic, operational, and enrollment data to inform strategic planning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chief Schools Officer in implementing the district's vision, mission, and strategic goals.
  • Oversee academic programs to ensure student achievement meets or exceeds state standards.
  • Provide leadership in curriculum development, assessment, and instructional improvement.
  • Assist the Chief Schools Officer in supervising the Schools Office Department to ensure alignment with TEKS and charter goals.
  • Implement innovative instructional strategies and professional development for teachers and campus leaders.
  • Monitor instructional quality and student performance data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with TEA, state, and federal regulations, including charter school performance contracts.
  • Monitor accountability ratings and implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Supervise and evaluate department heads (e.g., academics, special programs, operations).
  • Collaborate with finance and Human Talent to align resources with instructional priorities.
  • Oversee professional development programs for campus and district leaders.
  • Develop and implement enrollment strategies to meet organizational growth targets.
  • Analyze demographic trends and community needs to inform recruitment efforts.
  • Partner with marketing and outreach teams to promote the district and attract new families.
  • Monitor enrollment data and retention rates; adjust strategies as needed.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the Chief Schools Officer and campus leadership teams.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, community partners, and governing boards.
  • Assist in recruiting, developing, and retaining high-quality staff.
  • Implement performance evaluation systems for campus and district leaders.
