About The Position

The Assistant Casino Shift Manager is tasked with aiding and executing various daily duties and procedures to ensure quality service for all guests, while also overseeing employees during a specific shift in the Table Games department.

Requirements

  • Must be knowledgeable of games and casino rules, procedures, and regulations.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience as a pit manager.
  • Experience in two (2) games as a pit manager (one game preferably craps) with knowledge in two other games.
  • Strong supervisory skills, and must possess demonstrated leadership ability among peers.
  • Must currently possess a Key License with the NJDGE or be eligible to obtain the credential from the NJDGE.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a dual rate shift manager preferred but not compulsory.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service.
  • Administers the operations of one (1) Pit, consisting of not more than (8) tables; or not more than (12) Blackjack, Roulette, Big Six or Baccarat tables or a combination thereof. If game of Craps is combined with other table games, may be responsible for not more than (8) tables.
  • Ensures a smooth operation in compliance with regulations and procedures used by all pit personnel.
  • Directly oversees the operation and supervision of the number and type of table games.
  • Responsible for providing on the job training, including service enhancement techniques.
  • Responsible for assigning and/or reassigning supervisors and dealers to other games in the event of a game closure, patron complaint or performance issue.
  • Responsible for enforcing company policies with the authority to issue appropriate discipline up to and including written disciplinary action notices.
  • Establishes performance expectations and holds staff and self accountable to ensure objectives are attained. Accountable for the development and performance of supervisors and dealers, including the issuance of annual performance evaluations.
  • Responsible for rewarding supervisors and dealers with commendations and making recommendations for Employee Recognition programs.
  • Demonstrates consistent and sound decision making ability, including complex and challenging situations involving guests and/or employees.
  • Ensures compliance with CCC / DGE regulations, company policies & procedures and internal controls.
  • Ensures a high level of customer service is consistently provided.
  • Provides a professional, cohesive and positive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
