A DCS Assistant Case Manager (Case Aide) works in the field, in collaboration with the case management team, and provides a variety of services to families and children in various social service programs. A day in the life of a DCS Assistant Case Manager (Case Aide) can look like: Alternative work hours may be required, including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Valid Arizona driver's license.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Selected candidates must be able to pass a background investigation and DCS Central Registry check.
Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).
This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, and the following requirements apply: Driver's License Requirements.
All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).

Nice To Haves

The ideal candidate will have college experience with credit hours in child development, rehabilitation, counseling, psychology, social services, sociology or related field.

Responsibilities

Assisting clients as outlined by the assigned case manager
Providing services to individuals and families in various social service programs within the Department of Child Safety (DCS)
Transporting clients as needed including handling and installing child safety seating
Arranging client appointments
Supervising visits between parents and children
Referring clients to appropriate community resources.
Participating in Foster Care Review Board meetings, court hearings and other meetings as required
Documenting observations and interactions with clients in DCS case management system.
Provides case management assistance and provides clerical support as needed.
