This seasonal position, running from June through August, invites individuals to join as an Assistant Camp Director. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating fun, enriching, and safe experiences for campers, while also building connections with peers and Y professionals and expanding your leadership skills. The Assistant Camp Director is responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of the Y camp program in line with organizational goals and curriculum. Key aspects of the role include providing leadership, training, and daily supervision to camp counselors, mentoring staff, ensuring the daily schedule of activities is carried out, and conducting weekly team meetings with performance feedback. Additionally, the position requires ensuring counselors have necessary supplies and resources, maintaining camper safety and security, adhering to Y policies, motivating staff to deliver outstanding programming and customer service, and participating in required staff trainings and meetings.
